Flowers are among my favorite subjects to paint. Painting flowers gives me an opportunity to use an almost infinite variety of hues and tones, from soft pinks and reds in “Rose in Green” to bold blacks and oranges in “Tiger in the Night.”
         From a biological perspective, flowers are designed to attract pollinators.  In essence, the plant wants to draw you to itself through bright colors, attractive scents and alluring shapes.  I hope these paintings capture your interest as much as the flowers themselves captured mine.
